Coco Gauff embarrassed herself by walking onto the French Open court without her rackets.
The USA tennis star beat Olivia Gadecki 6-2, 6-2 in her first-round match.
Ahead of the match, she went to warm up on Court Philippe-Chatrier, and after unzipping her bag, she realised her rackets were not in there.
The 21-year-old turned to her team, sitting in the stands. She looked absolutely perplexed.
The World number 2 took to Instagram after the match, and wrote: “no rackets but the fit is still a hit.”
She picked up her empty bag asked asked her team about the rackets.
A ball boy quickly came to her rescue and brought five of the current French Open champion’s rackets.
Gauff said after the match that her coach was responsible for this mistake.
She said, as quoted by The Sun: “The culprit is not in the box because he knows the rackets are supposed to be in my bag.
“Honestly, as long as I have been on tour, my coach has always put the rackets in the bag before the match because he is very superstitious.
“He likes to grip each racket new each day. I don’t care. I can play with a dirty grip.
“I go on the court and I realise I have no rackets and I literally just made fun of Frances Tiafoe for it. But now I’ll be quiet.
