CM Punk has retired from the UFC and announced his intention to return to full-time wrestling, reports MMA Fighting.
The report notes that Punk has officially communicated his decision to retire to the UFC. They perhaps would have assumed that’d be the case, with the former WWE star not having fought since 2018.
That fight came against Mike Jackson at UFC 225. It was judged unanimously in the favour of Jackson, but a positive test for marijuana later saw the fight deemed a no contest.

With CM Punk only having had one other fight, against Mickey Gall in 2016, stepping into the ring with Jackson and ending up without another loss on his record will go down as his most commendable UFC moment.
MMA Fighting note that CM Punk has now signed a contract with AEW, having made his debut at AEW Rampage last month.
A return to the wrestling world is a necessary step back into his comfort zone at this stage of his fighting career.
