As preparations get underway for the start of the hurling Championship, there’s news coming out of the Clare camp today that 2024 hurler of the year Shane O’Donnell is training with the Clare panel, non contact.

There is hope he will be available for the latter stages of the provincial championship. Clare face Limerick in their final round game in TUS Gaelic Grounds on May 25.

It would be huge to have the 33 year old back in the reckoning and fit and available for the Banner county. Can you see Clare doing two in a row this year? It’s going to be hugely competitive again this year and it will take a lot to stop a lot of people’s favourites Cork.
