Cian Healy Signs One Year Contract with the IRFU

Posted by

The Dublin native has been one of the best loose head props to play for both Ireland and Leinster and it’s great to see the former Belvedere player choosing to stay in Ireland. This deal will see Cian Healy staying put until the end of the 2021/22 season.

This is good news for Irish coach Andy Farrell, Cian Healy didn’t start against the Italians last week, but is a key player for Andy Farrell going forward and indeed Leo Cullen’s Leinster. Ireland lost their opening two gams against Wales away and France at home.

Ireland did however have a good with against the Italians in Rome and have two massive games left vs Scotland in Edinburgh and England at home. It’s been a good week for the IRFU having signed Johnathan Sexton for another year also and Cork man Peter O’Mahony for two years, good business being done by the IRFU?
