Chelsea star ruled out of Arsenal clash after testing positive for COVID-19

Thomas Tuchel has confirmed that Chelsea winger Christian Pulisic has tested positive for COVID-19.

Chelsea fans began asking questions regarding Pulisic’s status when he was not involved in the open training session at Stamford Bridge earlier in the week.

There was nothing to suggest that Pulisic could leave the club imminently, but with the transfer window open, you just never know what might happen.

It turns out that Pulisic will NOT be leaving Chelsea, but is in fact self-isolating after testing positive for COVID-19, ruling him out of the Arsenal game.

Christian Pulisic has tested positive for COVID-19

While his absence will of course be a blow for Chelsea, Tuchel does have a significant amount of quality in reserve.

Callum Hudson-Odoi, Hakim Ziyech, Timo Werner, Kai Havertz and Mason Mount can all play out wide, assuming Romelu Lukaku will spearhead the attack.

Chelsea will be just fine in Pulisic’s absence, but of course, we wish him a speedy recovery
