Christian Horner has poured cold water on the rumours of him moving to Ferrari.
Recently, reports emerged that Horner could leave Red Bull and join compatriot Lewis Hamilton at Ferrari due to internal tensions brewing at the team.
It was suggested that Ferrari chairman John Elkann is a huge admirer of the British 51-year-old.
Horner is one of the highly successful team principals in the F1 circuit. Under his leadership, Red Bull have secured eight drivers’ titles and six constructors’ championships.
He has now reaffirmed his commitment to Red Bull following suggestions he could ditch Red Bull for rivals Ferrari.
He said: “Of course it’s always flattering to be associated with other teams but my commitment 100 percent is with Red Bull.
“It always has been and certainly will be for the long-term. There’s a bunch of speculation always in this business. People coming here, going there or whatever. I think people within the team know exactly what the situation is.”
He signed a new deal in 2021, but his contract expires next year.
There has been plenty of internal dispute going on at Red Bull, involving Max Verstappen’s dad Jos and senior adviser Helmut Marko.
Verstappen even declared that he would quit the team if Marko was sacked following rumours he might be suspended.
