Chris Eubank Jr’s team is considering launching an appeal to the British Boxing Board after they deemed that Liam Smith used his elbow during the fight.
The two British boxers went toe to toe in the Manchester Arena last Saturday night with Smith coming out victorious after a stoppage in the fourth round.
After the fight was over many fans pointed out that Smith used an elbow just before the referee stepped in and Eubank Jr’s promoters, Wasserman Boxing, are considering appealing the decision based on this.
When questioned by Sky Sports, Kalle Sauerland of Wasserman Boxing replied ‘we’re looking at it.’

A clear illegal elbow from Liam Smith in the build up to his TKO win over Chris Eubank Jr.
I realise the uppercut and left hook combo are what ultimately shut down Eubank Jr but if an illegal blow created the opening for those two shots how does that work? #VAR#EubankJrSmith pic.twitter.com/uqkE45wybm
