Chris Eubank Jr. slapped Conor Benn with an Egg at yesterday’s heated press conference.
Eubank Jr. (34-3, 25 KOs) and Benn (23-0, 14 KOs) are set to clash at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London on April 26 in a bout that has been marred with controversy.
The boxers continue their family feud after their fathers – Chris Eubank Sr and Nigel Benn fought twice in the 1990s but a scheduled contest between the sons in October 2022 was called off after Benn failed a voluntary drugs test, prompting a two-year battle with anti-doping authorities, before his suspension.
At yesterday’s launch press conference Eubank Jr. had teased Benn about the failed tests before slamming an Egg in his face in the face-off.
After that all hell broke loose with Nigel Benn grabbing Eubank Jr. by the throat and Eddie Hearn shoving rival promoter Ben Shalom.

Eubank could be punished for the viral stunt.
Robert Smith told The Ring: “We’re obviously disappointed he did such a silly thing. He struck Conor which was inappropriate at a hearing when we call for a hearing. We’ll get a hearing in as soon as we can possibly get it on.
“I can’t speculate [on punishment]. There’s lots of things they can do, they can withdraw licenses, they can fine, they can suspend, they can put conditions on licences.
“I’ve spoken to a few people regarding the press conference tomorrow, and I’m satisfied the press conference can go ahead.”
