Chelsea hope to seal ambitious DOUBLE transfer before the World Cup

Chelsea are reportedly planning on signing and sealing two major transfers before the World Cup kicks off.

Chelsea were the biggest spenders in Europe over the summer transfer window, with the new ownership investing heavily in Thomas Tuchel.

Such is the nature of modern football, Tuchel was sacked as manager merely six days after the transfer window’s conclusion, with Graham Potter his replacement.

The Todd Boehly/Clearlake consortium appear ready and willing to back Potter to an even greater extent as they did his predecessor, with two new signings already in the offing.

According to Fichajes, Chelsea are planning to complete deals to sign both Jude Bellingham (Borussia Dortmund) and Christopher Nkunku (RB Leipzig) before the World Cup.

Both deals would be completed with a view to bringing them into the squad in the summer of 2023, opposed to in the January transfer window.

It would be a clear indicator of Chelsea’s intentions to challenge once again for the Premier League title – they just need to find a way to clone Erling Haaland…
