Chelsea have completed the signing of 21-year old centre back Benoit Badiashile from Monaco for a fee in the region of £32m.
It signals the start of what is set to be the arrival of a few players at Stamford Bridge, with the club keen on signing a midfielder and right back as they look to bolster their squad in the second half of the season.

A left footed player, Badiashile came through the youth ranks at Monaco, being promoted to the club’s first team in 2018, for whom he made his debut aged just 17. He went on to make 135 appearances for the club.
Speaking about his move to England, Badiashile said: “‘I’m very happy to be here at Chelsea. I’m so excited to start playing for this club. I can’t wait to see the fans and start playing in the best league in the world.

Todd Boehly and co-owner Behdad Eghbali were full of praise for the player in their reaction to his signing.
