Chelsea fans are NOT happy with Thomas Tuchel’s decision to start Romelu Lukaku against Middlesbrough this evening.
Lukaku was drafted in from Inter Milan for a club-record £97m in the summer, with Chelsea’s intention being to recruit a world-class striker with the capability to fire them to the Premier League title.
Of course, things have not panned out in the manner which they would have expected, with Lukaku falling miserably short of expectations and Chelsea’s title pursuit tailing off in the New Year.
Lukaku has now been completely frozen out of the team, with Kai Havertz now Chelsea’s starting centre-forward and justifying his selection on a weekly basis.

That leaves Lukaku to pick up the scraps, like an FA Cup tie against Championship outfit Middlesbrough, but Chelsea fans are even discontented with the Belgian in a game like this.
