The UK government are really coming in hard on any Russian’s doing business in the United Kingdom and one of them is Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich. The UK government have now suspended Chelsea’s bank accounts and thus stopping Mr. Abramovich from doing any business in the UK.
Chelsea have essentially been seized by the government, with the club now unable to make any cash through fear that it could end up in the back pocket of the Putin-supporting Russian oligarch.
That raises serious questions as to whether they will be able to stay afloat or could legitimately find themselves in administration, with a major financial crisis looming.
