Michael Chandler submitted his knockout of the year contender with a front kick KO on Tony Ferguson at UFC 274.
Few knew what to expect as Chandler and Ferguson stepped into the octagon last night. A belter of a fight, of course, but splitting the pair was not straightforward before the first round had got underway.
In the midst of that first round, Ferguson scored a knockdown after punching Chandler flush on the chin, with Chandler striking back later in the round with a takedown, which was followed by some damage being dealt out on the canvas.

Few could have predicted what would unfold in the second front, with Chandler throwing out a front kick straight down the pipe and sleeping Tony Ferguson in a manner that he has never been slept before in his UFC career.
This is a strong, strong contender for knockout of the year and is comfortably one of the cleanest front kick knockouts we have ever seen. Could Michael Chandler have put himself in pole position to fight Conor McGregor?
