Cesc Fabregas reveals which player he believes would be a perfect fit for Chelsea

From time to time, footballers like to do a Q&A with their social media followers and that is exactly what Cesc Fabregas did this evening, answering a host of questions from who the best midfield trio of all time are to who the best young player is in football.

But it was his answer to another question that caught the eye.

The midfielder, who now plies his trade for Italian Serie B side Como 1907 was posed the question of which Spanish player he would sign for his former side Chelsea.

With so many stand-out players to choose from across the footballing landscape, Fabregas went rogue, selecting RB Leipzig’s Dani Olmo.

Olmo, 24, is a midfielder with good footwork and an eye for a pass who had a quietly impressive tournament for Spain at the Qatar World Cup, helping his nation to the Round of 16, where they were knocked out by Morocco on penalties.

Having played alongside some of the greatest midfielders the game has ever seen, perhaps Fabregas is on to something with his suggestion, especially with Chelsea crying out for a creative player going forward.
