While writing a column for the Telegraph, Cesc Fabregas made an admission that is sure to put a smile on the face of the Chelsea fanbase.
Fabregas, a product of Barcelona’s illustrious La Masia academy, broke into the Arsenal first-team as a teenager and was even named Gunners captain by Arsene Wenger, testament to how fondly be was thought of in North London.
However, having departed the club for Barcelona, with his move to the Nou Camp not working out as planned, Fabregas returned to the Premier League, but with Arsenal’s London rivals Chelsea, much to the dismay of the supporters.
While it took time for the Chelsea fanbase to warm to Fabregas – after all, he was an ex-Arsenal skipper – his masterful performances in the middle of the park eased the transition, with the Spaniard now remembered fondly.
That affection appears to be requited, too, with Fabregas revealing something during his column for the Telegraph which suggests that, even though he is no longer a Chelsea player, he hasn’t forgotten about the Blues:
“I watch every single Chelsea game.”
Chelsea fans will absolutely love to hear that. Arsenal fans, not so much.
