Carragher takes savage Twitter jibe at Neville after Salford City sacking

Jamie Carragher has dug up an old tweet from MNF co-host Gary Neville to take the mick out of the Manchester United legend in wake of a Salford City managerial change.

As was reported by Sky Sports yesterday, Salford City, who are part-owned by Neville, parted ways with manager Richie Wellens, who only took the job back in November and won the Papa John’s Trophy earlier this month.

Salford are lingering just outside of the League Two playoff positions, which you would assume is why those pulling the strings at the club have decided to make the decision, but it does go against everything that Neville once said in regards to giving managers a fair chance to build at a club.

Carragher wasn’t going to let Neville forget it, either, taking to Twitter to post a screenshot of his Sky Sports colleague pleading for football managers to be given more time. Not a good look for G Nev!
