Video: Carragher sure to divide opinion with unbelievable omission from his England squad for the Euros

Jamie Carragher revealed on Sky Sports Monday Night Football (MNF) last night that he would not take Jadon Sancho to the European Championships in the summer.

It’s just as well he’s not doing the picking then.

Gareth Southgate faces the impossible task of condensing this current talented crop of English players down to 23 – it’s not going to be an easy job.

However, if he wants to have any chance of overseeing another successful major international tournament with the Three Lions, he needs to get it right.

On last night’s edition of Sky Sports MNF, Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville chose their squads, and on Carragher’s side, there was a pretty notable absentee – Jadon Sancho.

Does Sancho deserve to go to the Euros with England?

Sancho has scored 12 goals and provided 16 assists in 31 appearances for Dortmund this term, but Carra clearly doesn’t feel that warrants a spot in the England squad.

Here’s what the former Liverpool centre-back went with instead, which is sure to divide opinion.
