Carl Froch has poked fun at the long time rivals who are now seemingly getting on a lot better.
Money is an amazing thing. It can bring rivals together for a fee of course and put years of sniping and snide comments swiftly in the past.
His Excellency (you should all know who that is by now) has formed a bond between Eddie Hearn and Frank Warren that at no point in the past looked at all possible.
And former Super-middleweight world champion, Carl Froch couldn’t resist taking the mick out of the pair. Speaking on his popular channel Froch on Fighting he said:
“His Excellency has an excellent idea. He addressed Hearn and Bricktop, Frank Warren, and he said ‘I want you two to go head-to-head’ … Frank Warren s**t himself. He was like ‘no, no, no it’s a mismatch’ but he didn’t mean it like that.”
“Listen [Hearn & Warren] are friends now. They’re best of friends. Talk about cash grab? Come on, show me the bunce. I’ll shake your hand. I’ll even shake your hand actually Frank, and I’ll hold your hand. I’ll have a picture taken of us two holding hands. Because that’s what goes down when the money’s involved. Don’t talk to me about cash grabs.”
You have to commend that the exciting fights are now on the cards including the likes of Fury vs Usyk and a Five vs Five battle between Hearn and Warren, but one must wonder when the next big UK card will happen? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
