Carl Froch isn’t impressed with Tommy Fury’s next rumoured fight.

Roy Jones Jr had revealed that talks had taken place for a fight with Fury but at 54-years-old Carl Froch has insisted it’s bad for the sport.

Speaking on his YouTube channel ‘Froch On Fighting’ ‘The Cobra’ gave his assessment on the potential bout.

“Tommy Fury is the guy that fought Jake Paul and KSI … He struggled (but) he won. Tommy Fury’s limited and found his level with YouTubers who can’t fight, and he’s said he’s gonna try and be a professional boxer, so he’s gonna fight 54-year-old Roy Jones Jr?”, said Froch.

He continued: “Don’t even hit Roy Jones Jr. He’s a legend of the game. He obviously wants the attention or wants a bit of extra money, but for Tommy to fight Roy Jones Jr, it’s just wrong. I don’t want to see it. I think it’s a load of cr*p. It’s got no interest. It proves nothing.

And if it’s gonna go down the road of becoming a professional boxer, he needs to start from the bottom and work his way up. Try and win a British title in the light-heavyweight division and face real professional fighters. If he fights anybody at even British level right now he’s getting beat.”
