🚨 Carl Froch launches scathing attack on boxing in Saudi Arabia, he hasn’t held back

Carl Froch has given his assessment on the atmosphere at the events in Saudi Arabia.

While many fans are enjoying the fights that Turki Alalshikh has put together, former super-middleweight world champion, Froch isn’t impressed with the crowd and has slammed the atmosphere during the fights.

Speaking on his popular YouTube channel, Froch on Fighting, he didn’t hold back with his take.

He said: “I don’t care what anybody says, people come back and forth and people are stroking egos, agreeing with people when they say that the atmosphere [in Saudi Arabia] is good, that the atmosphere is okay. The atmosphere tonight in Saudi Arabia was f****** shocking.

“That’s all that there is to say about it. Nobody was interested and there was some good fights on there tonight, some good heavyweight fights, Nick Ball became world champion, Hamzah Sheeraz put the performance in, it was a good show.

“People are sitting at ringside on their phones, they are not animated so hopefully that has closed the argument as to whether or not there is an atmosphere in Saudi Arabia. I don’t want to keep banging on about it but don’t tell me that the atmosphere is like it is in Britain, like it is at the O2 Arena, the Nottingham Arena, Wembley Stadium.

He concluded: “You can’t beat the British crowd, the British fans, the hardcore, salt of the earth British boxing fans that get behind the fighters, the passion.”

  1. Absolutely . There where people ringside more interested in chatting on or looking at there phones even when wilder etc where getting knocked out . Girls adjusting there make up and blokes chatting away to the people behind them ? It’s all about looking good and being there for the kudos 😡. No proper fans there

    1. It’s all about the money obviously it’s great for the boxers but boxing is fucking shit now that’s all I have to say about it

  2. It’s ruined boxing at the moment, I agree with Carl Froch, it’s all about the money, boxing is about boxers and their fan and how can fans afford to go and watch this shit show over there, bring it back here

  3. I think it was a great night of boxing, and good concept. Ok the people in the crowd lacked passion but so what a good night of entertainment was had.
