🚨 Carl Froch gives Conor McGregor vs Michael Chandler prediction: ‘He’s going to get beat up’

Carl Froch has shared his assessment on Conor McGregor’s return to the Octagon this year.

The Irishman hasn’t fought since July of 2021 where he suffered defeat to Dustin Poirier.

‘The Notorious’ made his fight announcement with Michael Chandler in his usual style and claimed they are fighting at 185 pounds.

‘I’d like to announce the return date for myself, ‘Notorious’ Conor McGregor,” McGregor said in a video on X. “The greatest comeback of all time will take place in Las Vegas, International Fight Week of June 29. The opponent, Michael Chandler — and the weight, Mr. Chandler, 185 pounds.”

Former super-middleweight world champion, Carl Froch, believe the new weight limit is a problem for McGregor and explained why.

Speaking to Lord Ping, Froch said:

“Conor McGregor won’t be taking the fight that seriously if he fights at the higher weight class.

“It’s indication to me that he won’t be taking Chandler seriously in training and when you don’t prepare properly, he could end up getting hurt.

“The mindset is not going to be right and he’s going to be unprepared and it could be really dangerous if he’s not training – he’s going to get beat up and knocked out or tapped out.”

How do you see the fight playing out?
