Canelo Alvarez v Caleb Plant could be in doubt after the pair came to blows during a press conference.
It’s not uncommon to see tempers flare during pre-fight press conferences, but ordinarily fighters are separated before they are able to do any sort of real damage to each other.
That wasn’t the case here, with WBA (Super), WBC and WBO champion Canelo quite simply being too quick for anyone to anticipate or stop his punches.
After Plant was shoved in the chest, the undefeated super middleweight swung for his opponent, but Canelo was simply too quick, evading the punch before landing one of his own.

The hand speed on display is quite ridiculous, and while we’d usually praise Canelo in the ring, we can only bemoan his actions as they came out of it.
Plant has been left with a pretty nasty looking cut under his eye, the kind which threatens to postpone their upcoming bout, which would be a huge frustration for the fans.
