This is heartbreaking to hear as a it’s revealed that a young girl from Galway passed away due to a head clash in a Camogie match.
Kate Moran who is from a renowned Galway GAA family, died following the injury picked up in an accidental collision during a club match between Athenry and Ardrahan.

The community of Athenry in County Galway are said to be in shock following the death of a camogie player after a tragic accident.
It happened yesterday afternoon during a game where it's understood the woman was struck by a sliotar.
