Did Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes throw a punch at Southampton’s James Ward-Prowse?
Fernandes, while an undeniably world-class player, can sometimes be accused of allowing his emotions to get the better of him while out on the field of play.
He appeared to have another one of those moments as Man United hosted Southampton on home turf in Saturday’s lunchtime kick-off.
Fernandes wrestled with Southampton midfielder James Ward-Prowse, before appearing to swing for the England international, while failing to make contact.

Fernandes is very fortunate that he didn’t land the attempted punch on Ward-Prowse, because you can guarantee that he would have seen red if he did.
Instead, he’s got away with it, with the referee not so much as brandishing a yellow card and VAR choosing not to intervene.
