🚨 Erik Ten Hag has announced a punishment for Bruno Fernandes after his shameful behaviour vs Liverpool.

Manchester United crashed to a humiliating defeat against Liverpool in the Premier League yesterday and midfielder Bruno Fernandez has been slammed for his antics during the 7-0 defeat at Anfield.

Fernandes was seen shoving the official, diving and having a go at his teammates at times during the game and the Portuguese international seemed utterly frustrated towards the end of the game.

The 28-year-old captained Manchester United against Liverpool and he was expected to lead from the front. However, the player had clearly lost his calm against Liverpool and his antics have not gone down well with former players, pundits and the fans.

There have been calls to strip the midfielder of his captaincy and it remains to be seen whether Erik ten Hag is willing to punish the player for his shameless antics.

“The Incredible Sulk racked up quite the rap sheet at Anfield,” Chris Sutton wrote in the Daily Mail.

“There was nothing professional about this behaviour. It was more befitting a petulant child, and the push on the assistant should result in a ban, no ifs and buts. Paolo Di Canio got 11 games [ban] in 1998, remember, and I wouldn’t disagree if Fernandes received the same punishment. This was shameful, embarrassing, disgraceful, whatever word you can conjure up.

“Whatever you think of Harry Maguire, the club captain, you would not catch him behaving like this on the pitch. Ten Hag dealt with the Cristiano Ronaldo problem. Now he needs to deal with Fernandes, starting with deciding whether he deserves to wear the armband in Thursday’s Europa League clash with Real Betis. I don’t think he does. Liverpool were fantastic and United were foul, and nobody embodied their deplorable display more than Fernandes.”

There is no doubt that Fernandes has been a key player for the Red Devils since joining the club, but he needs to sort out his attitude especially when he is up against adversity. The Portuguese star could have easily got himself sent off when he decided to shove the linesman during the Liverpool game and it could have proven costly for his side.

  1. I never see the leadership qualities in him, yes he’s a good player but always lost on big occasion I think and sure he doesn’t deserve the armband let someone else have it we have players with level head with good quality in the team who can lead and it will lead to his unhappiness its best we move him out and get a more committed attacking midfielder when we can cash in on him now.

    1. 😂 bullshit!
Mention 5 committed, has leadership qualities and has actually led or leading, quality midfielder and can be fluid to use anwhere in d team like Bruno?

    2. Lol this has got to be a troll, none of the past players should be talking about cool headed behaviour during rough games, Beckham spitting, Keane breaking legs, Scholes frustrated two feet tackles, ferdinands elbow, evras unnecessary argument with the ref all resulting in red cards that cost us those games. Whether internation or club they all acted with immaturity and cost their teams. None of these players including Harry maguire who has never stood up and took the pressure from the public, he had over players talking to the press and doing crap. Harry isn’t a captain plain, Bruno and casi are the closest things to a captain right now. Yeah shameful but I would be frustrated because everyone gave up and now the worls expects the captain to just show something crazily different and turn the game around. Yall clearly don’t know football or watch with fantasy belief and eyes.

    3. Its funny how you speak and still did not mention a name to take the captaincy from him. Clearly you don’t see anyone better . Bruno is human and as human, we do loose it atimes and it’s okay with me. He has done more rights than wrong and should be corrected and encouraged on the right path.

  2. Calls for his behavior are shocking. He is a quality player and has been part of the new Manchester United setup. Let those who dislike him burn and get off.

  3. A horrible bastard but suits his team .a scumbag but suits man UTD it’s no wonder they are the most hated team in world football and the FA bending over backwards to help them .

    1. Thought that was Liverpool always someone else’s fault as for spit the dog Carragher he should shut up

    2. United is the most hated? I think some people need to be injected with sense as daily medicine

    3. Dude you are unwise and speaking with so much hate. You need healing and a couple of therapy sessions. You clearly are to angry

  4. Strip off the captaincy from him, David De Gea would do better even from the distance, we even got casemiro

  5. He never shows leadership, He acts like a baby crying around the pitch all the time and should get the captain’s armband taken off him and haven to De Gea.

  6. He had a bad day at work, that doesn’t mean we need his head for that. Shit happens! Main thing is for the team to bounce back and we the fans to support them.

  7. poor article as usual in the most of the media, I don’t see a relevant connection between the title and the article itself.

    you lost me

  8. Media scapegoating and pandering to fans that don’t watch matches. In the last 3 seasons, who is a better leader than Fernandes. If you say Rashford, you only started watching United recently. Who is a better leader? De Gea? Please be serious, he cam barely command the back four.
