🚨 British heavyweight eyes showdown with Deontay Wilder: ‘He’s on the shortlist’

Posted by

Joe Joyce has revealed he’s interested in a fight with former WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder.

Joyce is coming off back-to-back stoppage defeats to Zhilei Zhang. Meanwhile, Wilder suffered a surprising defeat to Joseph Parker in December where he put in a lacklustre performance to say the least.

Next up for Joyce is a clash with Kash Ali on Saturday but he’s already looking at some big name opponents should he be victorious.

Speaking to OLBG Joyce said: “I like the Deontay Wilder fight considering the story, with me beating Parker and Parker beating him, it’s got a good story.”

“All the top names have been discussed as fighting likely for me, I’m a big name and people know about me. My team has talked about Wilder and different fighters too. Wilder’s on the shortlist.”
