There was an INCREDIBLE period of racing towards the end of Sunday’s memorable British GP.
Today’s race began with one of the worst crashes we’ve seen in recent memory. Thankfully, all involved escaped with their lives, without suffering significant injury.
Another positive is that the race will not just be remembered for the crash, but rather for the superb action and world-class driving we saw out on the circut.
A late-race safety car provided all drivers with the opportunity to bag a cheap pit stop and have fresher tires on their cars for the final stages of the race.
What that gave us was a four-way shootout for the victory, which ultimately saw Carlos Sainz secure the race victory, but what happened behind him was all the more enthralling.
As Sergio Perez and Charles Leclerc went wheel-to-wheel, through came Lewis Hamilton, who eventually finished P3, to take advantage on home turf.
