Brendan Rodgers gives update on Jamie Vardy’s return from injury

Jamie Vardy has missed three of Leicester City’s last four Premier League games as he recovers from a hernia operation and Brendan does not want to rush the return of his talisman striker.

Jamie was brought on as a sub in their 0-0 draw with Wolves at the Molineux but that isn’t enough to warrant a start or the full 90 minutes in Leicester’s next game against Brighton on Wednesday.

He had missed three game but came on as a sub in the 61st minute for Kelechi Iheanacho but was not able to bring the winning touch to the game.

Leicester had struggled to score goals without their star striker and Brendan will definitely be resting Jamie before their major clash with Liverpool on Saturday.

Currently third in the league and just seven points behind leaders Manchester City so the title race is well and truly on.

Jamie will be vital if they want to go on another title winning run but do you think Leicester have a chance at the Premier League this season?
