Monaghan  lost the Ulster football final on a score line of 3-15 to 1-14, a great game of football and a very impressive display from the Down team, but as the Down captain Ruairi O’Hare said there are some things that are bigger than football and indeed his father Brendan Duffy echoed that and thank everyone for their messages of support with the passing away of his son.

Brendan Óg Duffy the U20 captain was hugely popular and was captain of the Monaghan team and would have been sorely missed from tonight’s game. Not just on the pitch but in every way, we also wish the family of Brendan Óg Duffy our condolences.
