This year’s World Cup semi-final has the potential to be one of the greatest matchups in history. If Argentina beat the Netherlands and Brazil win against Croatia then we will be looking at a South American semi-final.
It’s a mouth-watering proposition.
Brazil and Argentina have an intense rivalry, with both teams going hell for leather anytime they face off. Manchester United midfielder, Fred, has already started the mind games with a brutal message aimed at Messi.
“I want the Brazil-Argentina semi-final. I want confusion, turmoil, Neymar’s pen, Messi crying,” he said in an interview with ESPN.

Many people see this potential matchup as the real final but they both have to do away with their quarter-final homes if they want to make it happen.
The Netherlands are no pushovers, with Louis van Gaal at the reigns they are capable of tactically shutting down any side. The same goes for Croatia, although they have a relatively older squad, they can still hang with the best of them.
