Brazilian football legend Pele is in hospital with an undisclosed health issue, reports the Mirror.
Pele, 80, has been in hospital several times in recent years with various different health problems. The three-time World Cup winner was presumed to be healthy at this point in time.
However, as is reported by the Mirror, news has broken on Monday afternoon that Pele is in fact in hospital and has been for up to six days.
His situation is not thought to be life-threatening. Though, of course, when a treasure like Pele is unwell, especially taking his age into consideration, there will be concern.
Pele is widely considered the greatest footballer of all-time, with only the late Diego Maradona and the otherworldly Lionel Messi coming close.
The former Santos attacker is believed to have scored over 1000 goals in his career.
We can only hope that whatever health issue he is battling through at current is resolved in due course and Pele gets to go home as soon as possible.
