Boxing Matches That Could Take Place in 2021

Boxing is on the verge of having a very productive year. Numerous high-calibre bouts are in serious talks and fans couldn’t be more excited about it. Manny Pacquiao is likely to enter the ring, Canelo wants to have a dominant year, the heavyweight division is finally looking like it’s ready to roll, etc.

With that spirit, we wanted to take a look at some great potential matchups that are in close talks. Some of them are even close to being finalized. One thing is for sure – the fans will have a treat if any of them are officially announced in the upcoming period.

Some of Them Are Even Open for Bets

It goes without saying that boxing fans are also extremely fond of betting on the bouts. Thanks to the rise of online bookmakers in the past couple of years, betting has never been more accessible. Of course, all of them wager on the fights out of entertainment purposes since the idea is just to have fun and test your knowledge; not to take any unnecessary risks.

Online bookmakers such as Novibet have tons of great features such as 24/7 availability, can be accessed from any device, offer numerous betting options, and have tons of accepted payment methods. All you have to do to get provided with all of their services is to register. Registering is fast and simple. It lasts only a minute and you are just required to supply the bookmaker with some basic information about yourself. Sites like the one we just mentioned have already opened bets for some of the bouts that we are about to mention.

Speaking of, let’s see what spectacles could we potentially witness this year.

Andy Ruiz Jr vs Deontay Wilder

The Bronze Bomber has been silent after suffering his first professional loss against Tyson Fury. But recently, some rumours started circulating that he may face Andy Ruiz Jr, the Mexican warrior who managed to shock the world after beating Anthony Joshua. Andy is set to fight in May with Chris Arreola and there is a chance that these two might share the ring if Andy comes out with a W.

Gervonta Davies vs Ryan Garcia

After beating Luke Campbell, Ryan Garcia proved to the world that he is not just an Instagram boxer that films himself every day to gain popularity. Shortly after beating Luke, Garcia appeared as a guest on Mike Tyson’s podcast and called out Gervonta Davies. Mike even called Gervonta on the show and he and Garcia exchanged some words. Both fighters are undefeated and if this bout is to take place, somebody’s 0 will have to go.

Anthony Joshua vs Tyson Fury

Finally, we have the holy Mecca and the cream of the crop in the heavyweight division. Joshua and Fury have been at each other’s necks for years now. Rumours state that the two fighters are close to agreeing to a two-fight deal, with the first bout taking place in late-2021. This fight is set to be the biggest in British history as it will serve as a unification bout.
