Manchester City defender Benjamin Mendy has been charged with yet another count of rape.
Mendy, who won the World Cup with France, was once a key figure in Manchester City’s defence. However, his career has been derailed by a criminal investigation into his alleged wrongdoings which has landed him in prison.
As is reported by the Daily Mail, Mendy is accused of multiple counts of rape and sexual assault against multiple women. The allegations against the player have continued to mount up as the investigation has continued.

The aforementioned report notes that yet another accuser has stepped forward to provide evidence against Mendy, which has resulted in the former AS Monaco man being charged with what is now an eighth count of rape.
Mendy will stand before a jury in July, at which point his guilt will be determined in a court of law. Irrespective of what happens now, it’s hard to imagine him ever pulling on the sky blue Man City shirt again.
