Bayern Munich confirm interest in signing “absolute top striker” Harry Kane from Spurs

Bayern Munich have confirmed that they are interested in signing Harry Kane to replace Robert Lewandowski.

Lewandowski’s transfer to Barcelona was confirmed on Saturday, with the Polish goal-machine having been pushing for the move for several months.

Replacing a player of that calibre is a near impossible task, but it’s one which the Bayern hierarchy are going to have to attempt between now and the end of the transfer window.

One player who certainly is in that top bracket with Lewandowski is England skipper Harry Kane, with Bayern now having confirmed that they are interested.

Quoted by The Sun, Bayern chief and legendary goalkeeper Oliver Kahn confirmed the Bavarian giants’ interest in signing Kane from Tottenham:

“He is under contract with Tottenham. Sure, an absolute top striker, but that’s all a dream of the future.”

“Now we have to look at getting the squad together for the current season. So let’s see what else happens.”

Once this season has passed, Kane will have just 12 months left on his Tottenham contract. Could he end up at the Allianz Arena for the 2023/24 campaign?
