Barcelona have not only been forced to let Lionel Messi walk out the door, but there could be more trouble on the horizon for the club.
It was announced on Thursday evening that Messi would be leaving Barca, having been their star man for well over a decade.
The Argentine established himself as arguably the greatest footballer ever to play the game during his time at the Nou Camp, but all good things must come to an end eventually.
Unfortunately for Barca, this has ended in a period of great financial uncertainty for the club, with the Catalan giants in no position to think about signing a replacement.
Their books are set to reflect heavy, perhaps devastating losses for the last financial year.
Barcelona expecting losses of €487 million for last season. Incredible

Joan Laporta has inherited quite the mess upon returning to Barcelona for a second term as president, he’ll be cursing predecessor Josep Maria Bartomeu right now.
The fans will be hoping that he has a plan to steer them out of it, with the future of the club at stake.
