Chelsea and Manchester United target “has an agreement in place,” says Barcelona president

Barcelona president Joan Laporta has revealed his belief that Ousmane Dembele already has an agreement in place with a Premier League club.

Dembele, who cost Barcelona in excess of £100m, is out of contract with the club in the summer, having had no real notable impact during his time at the Nou Camp.

Barca were understood to be keen on shifting him before the January transfer window shut in order to receive some sort of cash in exchange for the French winger.

However, Dembele decided to stick around and spend what remains of the season with the Catalan giants.

Barcelona president Joan Laporta, speaking today, has revealed that he is puzzled by Dembele’s stance, but believes he may have already reached an agreement with his future employers.

Chelsea are the team to have been most closely linked with the winger, who worked under Thomas Tuchel during his time as a Borussia Dortmund player.

Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain are also understood to be in the running. It remains to be seen if Dembele has already agreed terms with any of the aforementioned.

As the months tick away towards the expiration date in his contract, we imagine all will become clear.
