Barcelona are reportedly pushing to sign and seal two Manchester acquisitions in the January transfer window.

Barca endured a nightmare summer transfer window as a result of their financial restraints, with Joan Laporta having been tasked with the mammoth mission of rebuilding the squad from top to bottom.

Spanish publication Mundo Deportivo believe they know the identities of two players that the Catalan giants will attempt to sign in the January transfer window, one from Manchester United and another from City.

The report claims that both Edinson Cavani and Ferran Torres have landed themselves on Barca’s radar, with their intention being to sign and seal deals for both players when the winter market opens in ten days’ time.

Cavani is being starved of game-time at Old Trafford, while Torres is thought to be keen on the idea of moving to the Nou Camp. There appears to be a legitimate possibility that both of these deals go through next month.

It’s unclear whether Barcelona will be forced to part ways with any high-profile members of their squad in order to raise funds for these deals, but you have to think it likely, considering the gravity of their financial crisis.
