Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang transfer sway from Chelsea ‘advancing strongly’

Reports in France claim that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang could already be discussing a move away from Chelsea.

Aubameyang, who previously captained Arsenal, left the Gunners to sign for Barcelona in January of this year. He went on to score 11 goals in 17 league appearances.

He clearly didn’t have much intention of sticking around in North London, though, with Aubameyang signing along the dotted line with Chelsea on transfer Deadline Day.

Aubameyang reunited with former manager Thomas Tuchel, who was seemingly desperate to sign him, but the German was dismissed by Chelsea just six days later.

That would have been a bitter pill for Aubameyang to swallow, and according to reports in France, it may have left him listening to offers from elsewhere.

According to Foot Mercato, PSG are ‘advancing strongly’ in their efforts to sign Aubameyang, who would arrive at the Parc des Princes in the summer of 2023.

It remains to be seen exactly how much they’d have to pay Chelsea to sell, but after goals in back-to-back appearances, the Blues will surely be reluctant to let him go.
