Despite his 60-minute debut, Chelsea fans were drooling over his performance, asking the question of whether they should make the loan deal permanent in the summer, but the fee that Felixβs parent club Atletico Madrid have quoted could prove a stumbling block.
The Spanish outfit have priced the 23-year old at Β£124.5million, according to Mundo Deportivo, which would be a Β£9million profit for the club after they splashed out Β£115million to prise him out of Benfica in 2019.
The immediate reaction to the quoted fee is one of shock, but after how Todd Boehly demonstrated his wiley negotiating skills during the summer, we could well be seeing football Golden Boy winner of 2019 at Stamford Bridge come September 1st.
