Atletico Madrid have revealed their monstrous asking price for Joao Felix should Chelsea want to sign him permanently in the summer.

The Blues beat Arsenal and Manchester United to the loan signing of the Portuguese, paying a fee of Β£10million for six months of his services and he made his debut for the club against Fulham, impressing greatly with his movement and eye for goal before he was dismissed for a off the ground lunge at Kenny Tete.

That meant a suspension for three games, but he will finally be returning against West Ham this Saturday, much to the delight of the Chelsea fans.

Despite his 60-minute debut, Chelsea fans were drooling over his performance, asking the question of whether they should make the loan deal permanent in the summer, but the fee that Felix’s parent club Atletico Madrid have quoted could prove a stumbling block.

The Spanish outfit have priced the 23-year old at Β£124.5million, according to Mundo Deportivo, which would be a Β£9million profit for the club after they splashed out Β£115million to prise him out of Benfica in 2019.

The immediate reaction to the quoted fee is one of shock, but after how Todd Boehly demonstrated his wiley negotiating skills during the summer, we could well be seeing football Golden Boy winner of 2019 at Stamford Bridge come September 1st.
