England and Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins has married his long-term partner Ellie Alderson.
The pair has been dating since 2018 and got engaged last July at Italy’s Lake Como.
Watkins proposed to her in a grand fashion, where he went down on one knee on a scenic balcony. The couple also wore white dresses to make it look perfect.
Now, they have announced their marriage on social media. The announcement was made before Villa’s final game of the season against Manchester United on Sunday.
Ellie chose a lacy white outfit, while Watkins wore a traditional black-suit with a classic tie.
The pair received tons of congratulatory messages. Watkin’s Villa teammate, Morgan Rogers, added a red-heart emoji below Ellie’s post.
Ellie also added a beautiful caption – “Legally Mrs Watkins”, adding the emoji of a white heart and a house.
The Instagram post received over 68,000 likes. Ellie has a twin sister, Sofia, who is also very active on Instagram. She often shares pictures of the pair.
The couple are blessed with two kids. Their first child, daughter Amara May, was born on September 15 2021. Their second kid, son Marley, arrived on April 17, two years later.
Watkins, 29, has enjoyed a fantastic 2024/25 season, where he scored 16 goals and provided eight assists in the Premier League.
The England striker also scored one goal and registered four assists in the Champions League this season.
Villa are fifth in the Premier League table, sharing the same points (66) with Chelsea and Newcastle United. They have a very good chance of making it to the top four this season, should they win their final game, and the other results go in their favour.
