Aston Villa launch £30m bid in second attempt to land highly-rated Arsenal star

According to recent reports, Aston Villa has launched their second bid for Arsenal attacking midfielder Emile Smith Rowe.

That’s according to The Athletic, who claim the Villians have not given up their pursuit of the young English attacker.

Despite seeing their first bid rejected as the Gunners try and tie down the midfielder down on a new contract, Aston Villa’s hierarchy is understood to be trying again.

It has been reported that the Midlands side has launched a £30m bid.

Villa has already brought in Emi Buendia from Norwich City this summer, however, if the recent reports suggesting Jack Grealish will join Man City for £88m (CaughtOffside) are anything to go by, the club will undoubtedly need as many attacking reinforcements as they can get.

Since climbing his way through the Gunners’ youth academy, Smith Rowe has gone on to feature in 45 senior first-team matches, in all competitions, directly contributing to 14 goals, along the way.
