(Video) Fred injures De Gea who lays motionless as Arsenal score in one of the most bizarre goals EVER

Arsenal have taken the lead over Manchester United at Old Trafford in the most bizarre of circumstances.

The Gunners swung a corner into the penalty area, with Man United goalkeeper David De Gea clashing with his own player, Fred, and laying down on the turf injured.

It’s unclear whether De Gea was unaware that it was his own player that had done the damage, or rather that he was in too much pain to get up, but play continued with him seemingly incapacitated.

Arsenal saw no reason to put the ball out of play while there was such a golden opportunity to score, with Emile Smith Rowe firing the ball into the back of the net as De Gea lay motionless.

The Man United players protested as you’d expect them to, but there was no legitimate reason for the goal to be disallowed and as a result, it was awarded by Martin Atkinson and VAR.

You will NEVER see another goal like this in the Premier League…
