Arsenal have been on the hunt for a new winger this summer – and it looks as though they’ve just identified their top target.
The Gunners were initially confident that they’d be able to complete the signing of Raphinha from Leeds United, but that never came to fruition.
Chelsea hijacked the deal and agreed a fee with Leeds, before Barcelona swooped in and eventually managed to find the cash to fund the transfer.
That has left Arsenal looking for alternatives, and according to a report published by Fichajes, they’ve settled on who they’ll be targeting next.
As per the report, Arsenal have joined Real Madrid in the race to sign former Manchester City winger Leroy Sane from Bayern Munich.
You’d think they’d have a hard time convincing Sane to step out of the Champions League, but they’ve already achieved that with Gabriel Jesus.
Arsenal would have to be considered outsiders at this point in time, but should they stump up the cash, they’d be in with a fighting chance.
