Bukayo Saka was forced off during Arsenal’s Champions League game against RC Lens on Tuesday evening.
The 22-year-old went down in the first half before being substituted for Fabio Vieira in the 34th minute.
The injury couldn’t have come at a worse time as the Gunners prepare to face Manchester City at the Emirates on Sunday evening.
Mikel Arteta has been heavily criticised by Arsenal fans for failing to rotate Saka during the first two months of the season and will be left extremely frustrated with the news tonight.
The English winger broke the record for the most consecutive Premier League games played last month. With the heavy workload put on the youngster’s shoulders, many believe that it was only a matter of time before he picked up an injury.
