Mike Dean had a pretty poor day at the office on Saturday, when he made what was generally agreed to be a complete hames of refereeing the Premier League match between Arsenal and Chelsea.
His performance was bad enough to trigger this enjoyable rant by pundit Garth Crooks.
Arsenal are agreed to be the the ones who suffered because of his poor day, with two players shown red cards while Chelsea’s pantomime villain Diego Costa somehow remained on the pitch until he was substituted off.
The club’s fans have decided that enough is enough, and have launched a petition asking the FA to prevent Dean from refereeing another Arsenal game.
The petition has been signed more than 60,000 people since being launched shortly after the match two days ago.
That’s a lot of unhappy Gunners, Dean should probably avoid the Emirates Stadium and the North London area in general for the next while.
They’re mad as hell and they’re not going to take it anymore.
