Arsenal reportedly face stiff competition in the race to sign Real Madrid winger Eden Hazard this summer.
Hazard was previously regarded as one of the best players on the planet. His performances for Chelsea, season after season, were nothing short of remarkable. He made mincemeat of Premier League defenders on a weekly basis.
As a reward for his stellar Chelsea career, Hazard earned himself a dream move to Real Madrid, the club that he always wanted to play for throughout his childhood and into his professional football career.
However, not all has gone to plan for the Belgium captain, who after three terrible years at the Santiago Bernabeu, which have been marred by injury, is now expected to leave the club at the end of the season.
As is reported by Cadena Ser, Arsenal are understood to be interested in signing Hazard. The Spanish publication are not the only outlet to have reported that news over the past week – their interest appears to be legitimate.
However, Arsenal are not believed to be the only club in the running, with the aforementioned report by Cadena Ser claiming that Borussia Dortmund have also expressed an interest in bringing in Hazard this summer.
Where he will end up is something that only the future can tell us, but Hazard appears to have options. Even after three disappointing years in Madrid, he still has plenty of admirers in the game.
