Arsenal’s Ainsley Maitland-Niles has been banished from first-team training after attempting to force a move away from the Emirates.
As reported by the Guardian, Everton have been showing an interest in signing Maitland-Niles on loan before the transfer deadline.
The Arsenal youngster took to Instagram on Monday to ask the club to allow him to leave via a post on his story. Unconventional, but it definitely got their attention.

It doesn’t look like there’s much prospect of Maitland-Niles getting his move at this point, and he’s going to have a tough time of it at Emirates, too.
The 24-year-old has reportedly been told that he will no longer be training with the Arsenal first-team, as Mikel Arteta asserts his authority.

It seems counterproductive for Arsenal to keep a player around who has made no secret of his desire to leave the club.
Arsenal have conducted some worthwhile business this summer, but their treatment on Maitland-Niles doesn’t reflect particularly well on them.
