What a match that was last night in the final ever Merseyside Derby at the famous Goodison ground. After the match all hell broke out and the Liverpool manager was shown a straight red card from the match referee Michael Oliver.

Slot’s conversation with Oliver was just out of view of the camera, however, a second camera caught the Liverpool manager asking the referee: ‘You gave me a red for that?!’

Absolutely disgraceful, kids won’t want to be referees after seeing that sort of behaviour

  2. Referees have too much protection from ridicule. They should be made to be responsible for their actions and judged by a panel of ex-players on performance. Oliver should never be allowed to officiate in a derby again.
    We should also employ foreign refs with no bias in the Premier league. It is the home refs that are bringing the game into disrepute, because poor decisions are making them centre stage.

    2. Referees should be made Accountable for their wrong decisions these should also apply to VAR Officials who officiate from Their moñitors, best solution to get foreign Referees for the Premier League, they will not be bias towards a particular Josephteam.
