In the aftermath of Argentina’s World Cup final victory over France, Les Blues supporters created a petition ordering FIFA to replay the match.

A  French social media user claimed Argentina’s opening goal of the match, which came from the penalty spot, should not have been allowed and also said that Angel Di Maria’s goal to make it 2-0 should have been chalked off after Mbappe’s was believed to have been fouled in the lead up to the goal.

Over 200,000 people have signed a petition to REPLAY the World Cup final🙄

Almost 200,000 people signed the petition but it is unlikely to be reviewed by FIFA.

In response to this petition, Argentina fans created one of their own, which asks for the French to stop crying.

The petition has already overtaken the French’s in terms of signatures, with 250,000 people signing it as the nation continues to celebrate their historic achievement, almost a week after the final.

Whilst the petition doesn’t make too much sense, you can understand the response handed to the French by the Argentinian supporters as they continue to rub their achievement in the face of their counterparts with the rivalry between the pair continuing to grow.
