Another former Manchester United player has SLAMMED the club 😮

Jesse Lingard has followed Cristiano Ronaldo’s lead and slammed the state of the club.

Lingard left Manchester United last summer after a long and frustrating 11-year spell at the club, where he failed to really establish himself.

The midfielder was touted as the future of United and although he had some good spells, he spent the majority of his time on the bench. He was forced out on loan to West Ham where he really impressed, Manchester United then chose to keep him at the club but again, mostly left him on the bench.

Lingard joined Nottingham Forest last summer and recently gave an interview, criticising the club. His former teammate, Ronaldo also slammed Manchester United and the two pinpointed common failures at the club.

“They’re so behind on everything,” he told The Diary of a CEO Podcast.”You see City’s facilities, Tottenham’s facilities… people are miles ahead. Even the social side of things.”

The 30-year-old was brought up by Alex Ferguson and reminisced about the differences under the Scottish manager.

“There was no control. When Ferguson was there, it was full control. A fortress – everything went through him. Contracts, commercial deals, everything.

“Of course, generations change, players grow up and people have a voice. When things are getting said about you that are not true, you are going to voice your opinion.

“It wouldn’t have happened back in the day – it would have been squashed there and then with Sir Alex. But now, people have got platforms to voice their own opinion and write what they want.”
